Under this new initiative, customers can walk away with a ZTE smartphone by simply paying a 25% deposit and then $5 weekly installments. With no strict bank requirements, the programme is designed to be inclusive, even for those in the informal sector.
Through this model, customers who can prove their mobile wallet activity, even through small but consistent transactions, can qualify instantly. The Know Your Customer process is simple, quick, and inclusive, with the aim of supporting micro-entrepreneurs, vendors, and rural citizens who often face challenges accessing traditional credit. This collaboration with Satewave marks a significant step toward realizing Vision 2030, ensuring that every Zimbabwean can connect, transact, and thrive in a digital economy.
