The Ministry of National Education of Senegal has launched the new version of its national educational platform, PLANETE 3, marking a significant step in the country’s digital education strategy. Unveiled on October 3, 2025, in the presence of students, teachers, parents, unions, academic authorities, and technical and financial partners, the platform introduces a data-centered approach to managing and improving the national education system.
PLANETE 3 aims to make data the foundation of educational governance, supporting transparency, efficiency, and fairness across schools. Through real-time data collection and analysis, the platform is designed to guide decision-making, enhance monitoring, and support reforms for better learning outcomes. The initiative forms part of Senegal’s broader vision to modernize its education system and promote digital inclusion. It encourages collaboration among educators, parents, and learners to strengthen participation and accountability in schools.
By integrating technology and data analytics into education, PLANETE 3 seeks to improve resource management, performance tracking, and overall system quality, ensuring that every child in Senegal benefits from a more equitable and effective learning environment. The launch also reflects the government’s long-term commitment to building a modern, inclusive, and innovative education sector driven by technology and data intelligence.
