The Zonal Coordinator for Zone C of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Assistant Comptroller-General (ACG) Sambo Dangaladima, has instructed officers of the Edo/Delta Command to prioritize discipline and fully embrace digital tools. Dangaladima gave the directive on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, during an official tour to assess the command’s performance and address operational challenges.
ACG Dangaladima emphasized the importance of ongoing training, stating that modern customs operations require a digital approach to facilitate trade. He urged officers to “remain disciplined, follow established procedures, and keep building your skills” to meet and surpass revenue targets. He also assured the command that the service would work to address logistical and manpower shortages.
According to the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Judith Kanu, the command has already made gains in operational efficiency and has successfully deployed the Unified Customs Management System and a localized platform called B’odogwu. Kanu also reported that the command has generated ₦57.26 billion in revenue this year, with ₦30.89 billion collected between April and June 2025.
