Through the partnership, Axiz will deliver Equinix’s suite of data centre and interconnection solutions to partners and enterprises in South Africa and beyond. Nasdaq-listed Equinix has signed a distribution agreement with Axiz, one of Africa’s leading technology distributors, in a move aimed at expanding access to advanced digital infrastructure services on the continent. Through the partnership, Axiz will deliver Equinix’s suite of data centre and interconnection solutions to partners and enterprises in South Africa and beyond.
This includes access to the Johannesburg IBX data centre (JN1), the Equinix Fabric® software-defined interconnection platform, and the global Equinix ecosystem of networks, cloud providers, and enterprises. For Axiz, the deal reinforces its strategy of enabling the channel with next-generation technologies. Cloud adoption in South Africa is gathering pace, creating stronger demand for data centres that can support workloads while ensuring secure connectivity to global platforms.
Equinix said that Axiz’s established distribution reach will accelerate its ability to serve that demand. The companies also highlighted how the alliance will simplify routes to market for resellers. By combining Axiz’s local market presence with Equinix’s global infrastructure, the partnership is set to unlock new opportunities for African businesses seeking scalable, secure, and globally connected solutions.
