From 2 to 4 September, the Western China International Communication Organisation (WCICO) will host activities under the theme “Yangtze Meets the Nile.” The flagship Yangtze Meets the Nile Cross-Civilisation Dialogue Forum will be held on 2 September at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation. It will feature keynote speeches by ministers and experts, the signing of cultural agreements, the premiere of a joint China-Egypt documentary, and the unveiling of a cultural exhibition highlighting achievements in heritage preservation, cultural exchange, and media cooperation.
Another event, “China, an Opportunity: Chongqing Brands,” will showcase the city’s industrial strengths, urban development, educational resources, and intangible cultural heritage. Through promotional films, cultural performances, interactive sessions, and enterprise showcases, it will offer Egyptian and African partners opportunities for collaboration and growth.
The programme will conclude on 4 September at the Luxor Public Library with the China-Egypt Youth Dialogue on Cultural Heritage. The dialogue, focusing on youth as a bridge to the future, will feature student speeches, expert sessions, and a book donation ceremony, aiming to strengthen cultural understanding and cooperation between the two countries.
