Cellulant, a leading African payments technology company, has entered into a partnership with Pesalink to simplify and accelerate digital payments across Kenya. The collaboration will integrate Cellulant’s robust payment platform, Tingg, with Pesalink’s extensive network, which connects more than 80 financial institutions including 39 commercial banks, SACCOs, and fintechs.
Through this partnership, millions of consumers will now be able to make direct payments from their bank accounts to merchants, eliminating the need to move funds between mobile wallets, bank accounts, and other platforms before completing transactions. The service is designed to make payments seamless, fast, and reliable for both customers and businesses.
One of the major benefits of the integration is instant settlement of transactions, which means businesses no longer need to worry about lost or delayed transfers. Each payment will also carry a unique identifier, allowing for easier tracking and reconciliation. By removing the fragmentation caused by different payment platforms, the partnership makes it possible for customers to pay in a single step directly from their bank.
