Morocco has long been a favorite location for international filmmakers because of its diverse scenery and cinematic charm. Its sweeping deserts, beautiful mountains, and bustling medinas have doubled for settings around the world. Indian productions have previously used Moroccan locations to bring adventurous storylines to life, as well as taken advantage of the country’s film infrastructure.
Among the Bollywood productions Morocco has welcomed are “Jagga Jasoos”, Agent Vinod”, “Dishoom”, and “Krrish 3”. The famous film hub of Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Morocco,” has also hosted many Indian shoots, thanks to its cinematic landscapes and well-established production facilities. In addition, Morocco has welcomed some of Hollywood’s biggest productions, like “Gladiator” and “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation”. The combination of dramatic landscapes, historic architecture, and film studies has made it one of the most sought-after shooting destinations.
